Craig Millar
 

Born and educated in Dundee, Craig started his career as a chef with Crest Hotels in Buckinghamshire.  After a few years, Craig moved back up to Scotland and worked in the hospitality industry around several well-known restaurants and hotels.  The opportunity to set up a partnership then arose, creating what would be known as The Seafood Restaurant St. Monans, and later opening sister restaurant The Seafood Restaurant St Andrews.

During 13 years of partnership accolades won include:
SLTN Restaurant of the year 
AA Seafood restaurant of the year

AA Restaurant of the year for Scotland

AA Wine list of the year

CIS Restaurant of the year

Scottish Restaurant Awards Specialty Restaurant of the year

As well as this, both restaurants were also named Newcomer of the year by the Good Food Guide.

 

Since then Craig has won:

Seafood restaurant Chef of the Year

Taste of Scotland lamb challenge winner

 St Monans held 2 AA rosettes for 12 years 

St Andrews held 3 AA rosettes for 7 years

In 2011 Craig took sole ownership and Craig Millar @ 16 West End was established.

Since then, Craig has won;

CIS Newcomer of the year 2012

Has been listed in the Good Food Guide

and continues 2 AA rosettes

and has been nominated several times for notable wine lists.
