Public Statement regarding the re-opening of Craig Millar @ 16 West End and Covid-19

We are delighted to announce the re-opening of Craig Millar @ 16 West End on Wednesday 29th July. We look forward to welcoming back our loyal customers and once again sharing memorable dining experiences with you all.

In March of this year, restaurants around the country were forced to close their doors as the UK responded to the unfolding Coronavirus Pandemic, which we continue to fight across the globe. We have all been through some of the toughest times we are likely to endure.

As people now begin to engage in leisure activities, and the tourism and hospitality sectors resume business, we understand people may have reservations about dining out and whether they can do so safely.

We would like to ensure guests we will be doing everything we can to create a safe and comfortable environment in which people can dine with us with confidence. Additionally, safeguarding our team and ensuring they can continue to work safely and confidently will be equally as important.

When visiting the restaurant, you will notice some changes we have introduced. These decisions have been made with your safety and comfort as our number one priority, which are of utmost importance as the restaurant enters unknown territory of service post Covid-19 restrictions.

Some of our new measures include:

  • Sanitisation points will be situated around the restaurant and at the entrance and exit

  • Guests will be shown directly to their table on arrival to limit points of contact within the restaurant

  • A one way system for entering and leaving the restaurant has been introduced to minimise contact with other guests

  • Tables have been spaced out to provide social distancing, giving you safe proximity from other guests, in turn, reducing our capacity

  • Until further notice, our bar area will no longer be available for drinks as access to and the space itself will not allow for social distancing

  • Staff will be conducting temperature screening prior to starting work

  • Staff will be fully trained in protective measures they must undertake to ensure safety for themselves and guests alike

  • Staff will be equipped with various PPE such as visors, gloves, sanitising spray etc

  • Staff will continue to maintain high standards of cleanliness within the restaurants, and various measures are being introduced to make this a major focus of our service moving forward

  • We will be using disposable menu's to reduce the risk of contamination

We look forward to welcoming you to the restaurant and trust these new measures will help you to feel safe and comfortable dining with us. The happiness and safety of our staff and customers is of utmost importance to me and we look forward to opening this new chapter for the restaurant.

Kindest Regards,

Craig Millar & Team
